Teaching Partnership

Working with our partner schools, the Redborne Teaching Partnership (RTP) seeks to improve the quality of teaching and the quality of leadership through creating and supporting school improvement networks, realising talent and growing teaching and leadership potential within and between schools. This will be achieved by: training new teachers, enabling peer-to-peer learning, research inquiry focusing on school priorities and school support to help close the attainment gap.

Our Vision

The aim of Redborne Teaching Partnership is to support school improvement by forming a network to bring local coherence to initial teacher education, continuing professional development, leadership development and school to school support.

What is the core role of the Teaching Partnership?

  1. Provide support for trainee teachers, leaders and other colleagues within the school setting by working in partnership. This includes making a contribution to initial teacher training, CPD and leadership development. This also means helping to identify potential school leaders at the beginning of their careers, and supporting them throughout their journey to fulfil their career ambitions.
  2. Provide support for schools who may find themselves in challenging circumstances. This school-to-school support will involve working collaboratively with colleagues in another school, to implement long-term strategy and change to ensure continued improvement.
  3. Make a contribution to the wider education system by working to create effective networks.
