Early Career Framework (ECF) Delivery Hub
Redborne Teaching School Alliance is delighted to have been chosen as a local delivery hub for the Education Development Trust, providing places on the new ECF Programme for NQTs starting this September. This will give NQTs and their mentors access to high quality, nationally developed materials and training. The training for both mentors and NQTs is fully funded by the DfE and will be especially valuable this year when initial teacher training has been disrupted for many.
RTSA will work closely with Central Bedfordshire Appropriate Body and the Teaching Schools NQT team who will support the delivery of this exciting development. We hope still to run our Central Beds NQT conference at Putteridgebury (though timing may be affected by circumstances) and we have already booked our end-of-year celebration event (for NQTs and their mentor/induction tutor) with Professor Mick Waters on 6 July: this free ECF training is a great addition to our exisiting NQT support.
The attached documents give more information about the Education Development Trust’s ECF programme and the the local offer. The programme is intended to be developmental for mentors as well as NQTs. (Please note that although the full ECF from September 2021 will involve NQT induction moving to two years, this year’s NQTs will still be on a one-year induction path.)
