Welcome from The Student Voice Group (SVG)

The Student Voice Group look to make positive changes at Redborne. This might be through raising concerns we have about the day-to-day running of the school, the school curriculum, policies, reward schemes and many more. As a member of the Student Voice Group, we agree to abide by the following Five Golden Rules:

  1. Be inclusive
  2. Contribute to the school values
  3. Set realistic and achievable goals (both personal and for the benefit of the wider school)
  4. Promote equality and diversity
  5. Make a positive and active contribution to school life

The Student Voice Group is made up of the following working groups:

"I am honoured and proud to represent my year group... I am also flattered to have been chosen as an SVG Leader. I am really passionate about making people aware that we should treat each other equally. We should never discriminate against people due to their race, sexuality, gender etc. It is our job to make people aware that behaviour like this isn't okay and to encourage students to respect and display the school values" - Ella W, SVG Leader.

"Honestly, it is much better than I expected! At first, I was quite skeptical... I am not the most confident or outspoken person. I like helping others - in any way I can. I think joining [the SVG] group has given me more opportunities to help other people." - Thuvany, SVG Leader.
