Paid Internship Programme
Thanks to funding from the Department of Education, Redborne Upper School will offer 10 places on a three week internship for STEM and MFL undergraduates from June to July 2024.
Interns can earn £60 per day worked.
Applicants need to be an undergraduate studying either a STEM related course or a Modern Language(s) course. STEM related courses include Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - including degrees which have a significant amount of Mathematics/Physics within it e.g. Economics.
Applicants will also need to have an A level in Physics and/or Mathematics (STEM undergraduates) or an A level in French, Spanish or German (MFL undergraduates).
Interns will gain valuable teaching experience, working with students and staff in Mathematics, Physics, Modern Languages or ICT classes, with opportunities to plan and deliver aspects of lessons, shadowing staff and undertaking lesson observations and supporting staff in delivering enrichment activities.
The internships are based at Redborne Upper School, Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
