Full-time, 37 hours per week during term time, plus 220 extra “flexitime” hours by negotiation during evenings, weekends and in school holidays

RedborneSchool Sport Partnership is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to lead a thriving School Sport Partnership. The successful candidate will have a teaching or sports development background and will assist in the development of the School Games Programme across 53 schools, as well as manage and develop an investment programme with selected schools.

The successful candidate will be a well organised, motivated, professional, have knowledge of Physical Education and School Sport and the ability to communicate with a wide range of Partners. This post is made up of two parts. The School Games Organiser role (3 days per week) is dependent on continued government funding – at the moment this is guaranteed until 2020. The Partnership role is dependent upon subscriptions from partner schools buying into the programme. Historically we have had a very good take up rate and we see no reason why this should not continue.

CURRICULUM  SUPPORT  ASSISTANT

Languages Faculty

37 hours per week / term time only (including Training Days)

Required for September, 2018

(Level 3 Point Range 15 – 21)

£17,072 - £20,138 pro rata

Actual salary £14,780 – £17,458

We wish to appoint a Curriculum Assistant from September, 2018 to work in the Languages Faculty. The nature of the work is in three broad areas:

  • Providing clerical and administrative support to the faculty
  • Working in classrooms with students within the designated curriculum team
  • Providing short-term absence cover for teachers where work has been set in advance or by the subject leader.

We would welcome applications from those who have experience within schools and would like to progress to a post of greater responsibility. This post may also prove attractive to teachers who are planning to return to a post in education after a career break or to graduates who are considering teacher training and wish to gain experience in schools before applying. We are a teaching school and a number of colleagues who started with us in CSA roles subsequently went on to train as teachers with us and were then offered jobs on the teaching staff.

TEACHING  ASSISTANT

Required as soon as possible

Level 2

Point 10 – 16 (depending on experience)

£15,613 - £17,419 pro rata

Actual salary range will be approximately £10,607 - £11,834

Term Time Only

Approximately 29 hours per week

A Teaching Assistant is required as soon as possible. The successful applicant will work alongside the teaching staff in supporting students in lessons or on a one to one basis when students are withdrawn from lessons.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire .We achieve excellent examination results with about  three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 - 4.  ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded and oversubscribed situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and we have plans for further expansion to take the school to a capacity of 1,700, with 500+ in the sixth form.
