The Dan Carter Award

Mr Carter or Dan as he was known to his friends and colleagues will always be remembered for his commitment to supporting students both within and outside of the classroom here at Redborne. He believed that anyone could fulfil their dreams if they worked hard and focused on what was being asked of them. Outside of the Maths department Dan worked closely with the PE department supporting students in a sport that he was incredibly passionate about. Playing football both outside of school and for the staff team, Dan excelled and made many friends along the way. He spent many hours planning and preparing sessions and taking students out to fixtures and found great pleasure in seeing youngsters achieve and make progress through a sporting activity that he loved.
