Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400-seat theatre and Sixth Form social area.

CURRICULUM SUPPORT ASSISTANT

· Contract: Full-time (37 hours/week, term-time only + 5 training days)
·Salary: Level 3A (Point 5–8)
·Actual Salary Range: £21,585 – £22,631 (dependent on experience)

About the Role
This is an exciting and varied role combining:
Classroom Cover: Providing short-term cover during teacher absence. All work will be pre-planned by teaching staff or subject leaders.
Faculty Support: Offering clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our curriculum areas.
Student Support: Working closely with students in the classroom or in small groups to help them achieve their best.
You will also take on some independent teaching responsibilities, giving you a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills further.

GRADUATE TUTOR

We are seeking a flexible, committed and enthusiastic Graduate Tutor to join our thriving school community.
About the Role
This is an exciting and varied role providing tutoring support to disadvantaged students on a one to one or small group basis, under the direction of the line manager at the placement school and in collaboration with subject teachers.
Graduates will provide English and Maths tutoring support for one to one and very small groups of disadvantaged students who have fallen behind in their schooling. We offer full training for the role. This role suits applicants with degrees that have significant elements of either Maths, Science, English or Humanities. However, we consider each application on its own merits. Candidates must be flexible, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative.
The Graduate Tutors will be based in one school in Bedfordshire for the duration of their contract.
