Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. A Level results are also very good with over half at A*, A or B grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and Sixth Form social area.

PE TEACHER (Female)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: MPS / UPS depending on experience.
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic PE Teacher (female) to join our high-performing PE department.
We have a large PE department made up of 9 teachers and an attached curriculum support assistant. We have a well-established curriculum underpinned by our shared pedagogical approaches and consistent assessment goals. We strive continually to develop our curriculum to meet the needs of all learners. We also offer broad and balanced extracurricular opportunities for our students through a range of clubs and fixtures. GCSE uptake is strong and we have excellent facilities including a 3G football pitch, netball/hockey/tennis courts and extensive playing fields. We have a strong partnership with Ampthill Rugby Club who support the school with specialist rugby training.
The successful candidate will have a deep love for sport coupled with the pedagogical skills to ensure an outstanding provision and sustained progress for all.

Excellence in Teaching: Model and ensure the delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and support all students.
Pastoral and Academic Oversight: Track student progress diligently, implementing effective intervention strategies to maximise attainment. Contribute to a culture of high standard assessment and feedback.
