Under 14 and Under 16 netball teams qualify

On Saturday 9th May, 2009 , I took the U14 and U16 netball teams to cold, wet and very windy Chorley to compete in the National Sports College Finals which involved the top 9 Sports Colleges teams in each age group in the country. Both teams qualified as Central Region champions and so we went with a very good reputation. It turned out to be quite a successful day...
- Despite several players battling with injury, the U14 squad played some superb netball and finished as runners up.
- For various reasons, the U16 team only had 7 players and so a few of them were out of position. Hollie Joyce (usually GD) played as GS all day and Gracie Vickers (usually WA) played as WD. The girls were fantastic, played with great spirit, only lost one game and finished in 3rd place.
All the girls involved represented the school extremely well and should be congratulated for their efforts. They were complimented on their play and their sportsmanship and it was a real pleasure to take them
